AutoTrim: Remove Silence · TQ Tech · Effective date: June 19, 2026 · Last updated: August 12, 2026
1. About This App
AutoTrim helps you remove silence from audio and video files automatically — right on your device. We process everything locally; your files never leave your phone. You do not need to create an account or sign in with Google.
By using AutoTrim, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We do not directly collect your real name, phone number, payment details, contacts, photos, or precise location.
2.1 Local preferences
Theme, haptics, onboarding status, and other settings stored on your device.
2.2 Usage data (free-tier minutes)
Free users can trim up to 30 minutes of original audio per calendar month (UTC). We store used minutes on your device and on our quota server, keyed to a hashed device identifier (derived from Android ID). This lets the cap survive uninstall on the same phone. We do not use this identifier to identify you by name. Premium users are not subject to this cap.
2.3 Analytics and crashes
Google Firebase Analytics (GA4) and Firebase Crashlytics collect anonymous usage events (screens opened, trims started or finished, paywall and purchase events, ads, quota checks) and crash reports, including device identifiers. This does not require a Google account. See Google's privacy policy and Firebase privacy.
2.4 RevenueCat
If you subscribe to Premium, RevenueCat processes your purchase through Google Play. We receive your entitlement status but never see your payment details. RevenueCat may use an anonymous app user ID. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
2.5 Advertisements
Free-tier users see ads served by Google AdMob (including rewarded ads before a trim, plus interstitial and app-open ads). AdMob may collect the advertising ID and usage data per Google's privacy policy. Premium users do not see ads.
3. On-Device Processing
All audio and video processing happens entirely on your device. AutoTrim does not upload, transmit, or store your media files on any external server. Files you import are cached locally for processing and can be deleted at any time.
4. Files and Permissions
The app requests file access only so you can open, save, and share audio and video files you choose. We do not scan, index, or access files beyond what you explicitly select.
AutoTrim may request or use the following permissions:
Required for the free-tier quota server, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, AdMob ads, RevenueCat subscriptions, and in-app updates. Your media is still processed on your device; we do not upload it.
To detect whether your device is online (free users need a connection for ads and quota checks).
Used by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads for free-tier users.
To let you open files you select, save trimmed output, and share results. On modern Android versions, access is provided through the system file picker rather than broad storage access.
Android 9 and below only: to save trimmed audio to your device when required by older Android versions.
You can revoke permissions at any time in your device settings, though some features may stop working.
5. History and Saved Files
Trimmed files and your history list are stored locally on your device. If you delete an item from history, AutoTrim removes its local record and the associated saved file.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with the following service providers:
- Google Firebase — Analytics events and Crashlytics crash reports
- RevenueCat — For subscription management
- Google AdMob — For serving ads to free-tier users
- Our quota server — A hashed device identifier and monthly minutes used, to enforce the free tier
We do not share your audio or video files with any third party.
7. Data Retention
- Local data (settings, history, trimmed files, cached quota) remains on your device until you clear app data or uninstall.
- Quota server data (hashed device ID and minutes used for the current month) is kept to enforce the free-tier cap and is not tied to your name or email.
- Analytics and crash logs are retained by Google Firebase according to their policies.
- You can request deletion of server-side quota or ask questions at TQTechOfficial@gmail.com.
8. Your Rights
Because AutoTrim does not require an account, there is no Google login to delete. You can:
- Clear app data or uninstall to remove local settings, history, and cached quota.
- Email TQTechOfficial@gmail.com to request deletion of quota-server data associated with your device hash.
- Use Android settings to reset advertising ID, and review Google’s tools for Analytics/AdMob data.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play.
9. Children's Privacy
AutoTrim is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us at TQTechOfficial@gmail.com and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page and in the app with an updated date. Continued use of AutoTrim after changes constitutes acceptance. This hosted page is the public privacy policy URL for Google Play.
